You come to study in Pécs but not sure yet where to stay?

We are here to help:

You have two options: staying in one of our dormitories or renting a flat.

We introduce you both alternatives below, so you can decide which one you prefer.

Dormitories

The easiest and most often the cheapest way to get a place is applying for dormitory placement.

First year students arriving from visa-obligation countries are entitled to apply for a dormitory spot. Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis, and are limited. Dormitory allocations are non-negotiable. Please note that there are no one-person rooms available.

The dormitories offer safe accommodation with their 24/7 security service (face control at the entrance) and installed fire alarm system for university students.

Most of the dormitories have recently been renovated. The rooms are nicely furnished. Bedclothes are supplied. Rooms are offered on a reasonable price level.

Prices:                                               Fee per month

Szántó Dormitory wing A and C       ~ 180 EUR

Szántó Dormitory wing D                   ~ 150 EUR

Damjanich Dormitory                         ~ 195 EUR

Balassa Dormitory                               ~ 150 EUR

Facilities in the dormitories:

  • Internet access per room
  • study room
  • gym
  • bike storage
  • parking slots

RENTED ACCOMMODATION

Renting a flat can provide you with the peace, comfort and privacy you require.

The monthly rental price of a two-room apartment might cost between 110.000 to 200.000 HUF (280-500 EUR, if you rent on your own).

The surroundings, the distance from the university and the facility might affect this price.

Please note that utility bills and property management fees are not included in the rental fee.

To pay a deposit is always required by the accommodation provider, which usually is equal to 1 or 2 monthly fee. This has to be paid in advance before moving in, and it is released after moving out from the apartment
