Dormitory places available for students subject to visa requirements

Arriving at a far away country to start your medical studies can bring many unforeseen difficulties. But knowing that you do have a place to stay at can relieve at least some of the stress. The University of Pécs is trying to help students in each and every possible way to get accomodated to the new circumstances. Those students who come from a country subject to visa requirements and have no Hungarian residency are guaranteed to get dormitory placement  in the first academic year. All they need to do is register online.

The University of Pécs has 4 dormitories located in quiet residential areas for international students. As Pécs being a university town, everything is within walking distance, but public transportation is also well structured and easy to use.  Most of the dormitories have recently been renovated. The rooms are nicely furnished, contain bathrooms and they are offered on a reasonable price level, approximately EUR 130 per month. Bedclothes are also supplied. Even though you cannot choose which dormitory you would like to stay in, but if you wish to share the place with your friend, you just need to indicate your preference.

After the first year, students can still stay in the dorm, but they need to apply annually in the beginning of May.
