The Southern park of the University of Pécs Medical School has undergone a complete renovation, covering nearly 11,000 square meters. The renewed area was officially opened on May 19, 2025—with a spring fair and festive vibes to celebrate the occasion.
The transformation began in spring 2024 and was rolled out in three phases. Funded entirely by the university, the project involved an investment of nearly HUF 927 million to create a more welcoming and student-friendly space.
As part of the revamp, the old fence along Szigeti Road was removed, the on-site parking lot was relocated, and the green areas were completely revitalized. The new space is not only visually appealing but also functional, offering places to study, relax between classes, read, or simply take a stroll.
This development is part of a bigger vision to create a more open, community-friendly campus that enhances academic life and strengthens ties with the local community.
