Students from across Hungary, from Pécs, Budapest, Szeged, and
Debrecen came together for the country’s ultimate med student sports festival.
By day: intense matches in handball, football, basketball, water polo, and
volleyball. By night: parties, concerts, and unforgettable vibes across Pécs.
Big energy, big crowds, and an even bigger result. The Pécs Medical School team grabbed 2nd place at the 53rd Medical Cup on home turf (April 9–11).
With over 400 athletes and thousands of fans, the atmosphere was electric all weekend. The POTE crowd brought the noise, showing what real school spirit looks like.
Pécs battled hard against top rivals, taking the podium with a strong second-place finish, while also claiming wins in both men’s and women’s handball and men’s football.
But the Medical Cup is more than just competition. It’s about teamwork, resilience, and community: the same values that shape great future doctors.
